Wilbert Austin Beers, 76, White Plains

Wilbert Austin Beers, 76, of White Plains died Nov. 9, 2012, at home.

Born April 29, 1936, in Scranton, Pa., he was the son of the late Austin William Beers and the late Jessie Walton Beers Hemmler.

Mr. Beers retired from the FBI as a supervisory fingerprint examiner, he served in the Army National Guard in Washington, D.C., from 1959 to 1966. He enjoyed farming, woodworking and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Otis Beers; and sister, Effie Pickrell.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Miller Beers; daughter, Linda Ramos of Allens Fresh; brothers, Norton “Butch” Beers of Easton, Pa., and Jack Beers of Moscow, Pa.; sister, Amber Stout of Moscow; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 17 at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst, Va. The Rev. Pat Lee will officiate. Burial will follow at the cemetery.
