Donations are being accepted for a volunteer effort that will fill 115 Thanksgiving dinner baskets for low-income families in Montgomery County. The project is a joint effort by Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, the Jane E. Lawton Community Recreation Center, and the town of Chevy Chase.
Through Nov. 15, drop off a check made payable to the B-CC PTSA, or gift cards for food from Giant or Safeway, to the Town Office at 4301 Willow Lane Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., or to Georgia Guhin at 4006 Rosemary St. Each $25 donation purchases a turkey, $50 purchases the groceries, and $75 purchases an entire Thanksgiving dinner.
Donations are tax-deductible. For more information call Community Relations Co-Chairwoman Bridget Hartman at 301-654-4938 or email@example.com.
