Fort Washington native Diana Webb was inducted into Sewanee: the University of the South’s student government body — the Order of the Gownsmen — at a ceremony at the Tennessee university on Oct. 9.

The Order of the Gownsmen has been the student government body of the Episcopal liberal arts university since 1875. Their academic gown attire harkens back to English university practices, according to a statement from the university.

Webb is the daughter of Jacqueline Webb of Fort Washington.
