Gary David Jenkins, 43, Waldorf

Gary David Jenkins, 43, of Waldorf died Nov. 12, 2012, at home.

Born Feb. 22, 1969, in Biloxi, Miss., he was the son of Richard Donald Jenkins and Barbara Jean Lucas Jenkins of Swan Point.

Mr. Jenkins was a computer security officer with the Department of Defense at the Pentagon for 13 years and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served from 1993 to 1997. He enjoyed running his fantasy football team. He was an amateur photographer who also loved traveling, gourmet dining and wine tasting. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed University of Nebraska football. He was fond of his cat, Annette.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of six years, Eileen Benson Jenkins; grandmother, Etta Jenkins of West Virginia; uncle, Gary Jenkins of West Virginia; and aunts, Suzetta Griffith of North Carolina and Diana Robbins of Ohio.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. with a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 20 at Raymond Funeral Service, La Plata. The Rev. Mark Roberson will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date in West Virginia.
