Thanks to our neighbors, sponsors and riders for their support of the 17th Annual AMIT Hunter Pace for the benefit of the Leonardtown Rescue Squad on Oct. 14. We had great weather for the ride. A very special thank you to our neighbors who let us ride across their property even though we had so much rain the week before.
Thank yous go out to Mr. and Mrs. Junek and Karenan Bailey for their work in preparing and cleaning up the course, to Bailey’s Catering for providing a delicious meal afterward and to AMIT and the Leonardtown Rescue Squad Auxiliary who provide the ground support (and just as important, the desserts).
We had a good turnout, and riders were able to trot, canter and jump. The course held up well. Between our sponsors and riders, we had total contributions of $3,500.
Many thanks to our sponsors, who included Bailey’s Catering; Bailey’s Party Rentals; Blair’s Jewelry and Gifts; Campani’s Horseshoeing Service; Combs Drury Reeves Insurance Agency; David’s Flowers; Franzen Realtors; In Memory of Bill Saul; In Memory of Elbert Monroe Willey; Leonardtown True Value; Linda Roe Miller, VMD/Token Oak Equine; Reliable Gardening; St. Mary’s Riding Club; Tom Hodges Auto Sales; Tom Hodges Tire-Service Center and Car Wash; and Waring-Ahearn Insurance Agency.
In the 17 years we have been doing this benefit, we have raised a total of $54,527. We are planning on having this ride next year, usually around the end of October. We hope you can continue to help us help the rescue squad.
Bobby Lindsley, Leonardtown
