The Waldorf Action Martial Arts Competition Team captured awards at the 2012 Mid-Atlantic Open Martial Arts Championship held Oct. 7 at the Frederick County Fairgrounds in Frederick.

The Championship included competitors from all across the Mid-Atlantic Region as 10 members of the Waldorf Action team competed in kata, board breaking and free sparring. They captured nine first-place trophies, four second-place trophies and two third-place trophies.
