Two Prince George's County Police officers have been suspended from duty for allegedly creating and posting online an offensive video.
The video depicts a traffic stop that appears to take place in Prince George's County, according to a police news release.
It shows two black officers in uniform using "crude stereotypes and profanity" while interacting with a black driver, who police said appears to be an actor.
Police said Chief Mark Magaw considers the video offensive to the community and the department.
The officers — a three-year veteran and a 10-year veteran assigned to District V who were not named by police — had their powers suspended just hours after the video was discovered, police said.
A duty status hearing for the officers will be held next week, according to the release.
