Laurel Advocacy and Referral Services is in need of donations for Christmas meals.
“We’re always in need of more holiday food items, said Program Coordionator Laura Wellford. “When we delivered our Thanksgiving dinners Saturday (Nov. 17), we were three turkeys short.”
Suggested items include frozen turkeys and hams, stuffing, instant potatoes, cranberry sauce, canned sweet potatoes, canned vegetables, pie crust and filling and cornbread mix, as well as non-holiday specific pantry staples such as cereal, oatmeal, pancake mix, pasta, peanut butter and jelly, canned soup, canned fruit, macaroni and cheese and tuna.
Donations can be dropped off at LARS, 311 Laurel Avenue, during business hours from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday.
The last day to drop off holiday donations is Dec. 14.
