The Corporate Volunteer Council of Montgomery County spent some time volunteering at its annual board retreat, which was held on Nov. 5 at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce.

Board members of the group, which seeks to educate businesses on how to support nonprofit organizations through successful volunteer/charitable programs, made 120 bag lunches for Shepherd’s Table in Silver Spring.

Shepherd’s Table provides meals and other assistance to homeless or those in need of meals, social services, medical support, clothing and other services.

The bag lunches were delivered to Shepherd's Table, who distributed them to individuals in Montgomery County.
