Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School newspaper The Tattler is hosting a panel discussion on Thursday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. on the media’s role in the 2012 presidential election. Proceeds will benefit B-CC’s journalism program.

The discussion, titled “Polls, PACs and Pundits: How the Media Informed, Influenced, and Failed us During Election 2012,” is a fundraiser that will feature moderator Ron Charles of The Washington Post, and panelists Fred Hiatt of The Washington Post, Richard W. Stevenson of The New York Times, Janet Hook of The Wall Street Journal, Henry Schuster of 60 Minutes, and U.S. Congressman Chris Van Hollen of Maryland’s 8th District.

A reception for donors of $50 or more will begin at 6 p.m. Tickets are $5 for high school students and children and $10 for the general public. The Tattler welcomes larger donations.
