The Lab School of Washington, a school for youth with learning disabilities and ADHD, honored outstanding individuals who have developed successful strategies for integrating their learning challenges into their lives, at its 28th annual Gala on Nov. 8. Lab parents Sheila and David Feinberg of Bethesda co-chaired the event for more than 800 people at the National Building Museum.

Each year, the Gala awardees serve as role models, showing lab students that they too can make a difference in the world. The 2012 Gala awardees were: Peter Fisher, senior managing director of BlackRock; Ben Foss, founder and president of Headstrong Nation; and Willard Wigan, an internationally acclaimed micro-sculptor who creates detailed sculptures in the eye of a needle.
