The Manassas Battlefield is steeped in history, including the spot where confederate General Thomas Jackson got his nickname, “Stonewall.”

At the Battlefield Tournament recently, the St. Mary’s United Wolfpack, a U-11 boys team, should also have been nicknamed “Stonewall” as it came away with another tournament win, scoring 16 goals. And with a stonewall defense, they gave up only two goals.

The Wolfpack have now won four of their past five tournaments and 33 consecutive regular season games.

In the bottom row, from left, are Owen Darden, Garrett Bridgwater, Noah Eby and Luke Duswalt. In the middle row are Koko Tin, left, Casey Cruz, John Croxson, Xavier Dever, Nick Stepura, Kobe Harris, Andrew Durst and Xander Goldsborough. In the top row are assistant coach Kevin Bridgewater, left, head coach Doug Harris, assistant coach Dave Eby and assistant coach Tom Duswalt.
