Ralph Bromley Eddy, 71, formerly of Derwood, died Oct. 29, 2012, in Greenville, N.Y.
Born Oct. 11, 1941, in Hammond, Ind., to the late Ralph Victor Eddy and Marguweite Brumley Eddy Holbrook, wife of the late Henry Lee Holbrook, he is survived by his wife, Sandra Lumb Eddy.
After graduating from Wabash College in Indiana and the Indiana University School of Law, he served in the U.S. Air Force’s Office in Special Investigations in Rome, N.Y. Following his work with the Air Force, he also served as an appeals examiner for the Civil Service Commission, a senior trial attorney and head of the Complaints Examining Unit at the Office of Special Counsel and acted as a mediator for the United States Postal Service.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Erik Ralph Eddy and wife, Margery, of Glenmont, N.Y., and Elizabeth Anne Eddy Smith and husband, Michael, of Richland Hills, Texas; his sister, Lynne Joanne Eddy George and husband, Barry; three grandchildren, a niece and a nephew.
A memorial service will take place at 3 p.m. Dec. 1 at Mill Creek Parish United Methodist Church, 7101 Horizon Terrace, Derwood. A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
