St. Mary’s detectives report that their preliminary investigation found no evidence of foul play in the death of a man whose body was found Wednesday morning on the Three Notch Trail in Charlotte Hall.

The discovery of the man’s body was reported shortly after 6 a.m. that day, according to investigators, and the body was transported from the scene to the Maryland State Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the cause of his death.

The Three Notch Trail was reopened by early that afternoon. The man’s name was withheld by law officers as they pursued notifying his relatives.
