Welcome the holiday season to Rockville with a trip to the Glenview Mansion. For four Sundays in December, a series of open houses will celebrate the season with music and festive decorations.

Dec. 2, the Encore Singers will perform at 1.p.m. at the mansion. An art gallery opening reception will take place at 2 p.m., accompanied by music from the Rockville Singers. At 3 p.m., the Heart of Maryland Chorus, Sweet Adelines perform.

Dec. 9 is a children’s day with Santa and Mrs. Claus, featuring music by the Heavenly Handbells of Trinity Lutheran Church at 1 p.m. and the Harmony Express at 2:30 p.m.

Dec. 16, musical groups from Bethesda-Chevy Chase, Wootton and Richard Montgomery high schools will perform at 1, 2 and 3 p.m., respectively.

The mansion will be open for tours between 1 and 4 p.m. Dec. 23.

Admission to the open houses is free, and the mansion will be decorated for the season. The mansion is located at 603 Edmonston Drive in Rockville Civic Center Park.

Peerless Rockville will host its holiday open house Dec. 2 at the historic Red Brick Courthouse, 29 Courthouse Square, in downtown Rockville. The event will include light hors d’oeuvres, cider, live music, entertainment and Victorian-style decorations.

Peerless Rockville will also have its gift shop open for guests looking to get a start on their holiday shopping. The event takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. and is free with a $5 suggested donation. Call 301-762-0096 or visit www.peerlessrockville.org for more details.
