Congratulations to the winners of the Chesapeake Beach town election. The town residents voted with their hearts. They are starting to pay attention to our small town. As far as Mayor Bruce Wahl is concerned, it was probably a total bust because of his smear campaign, in which a good $20,000 was probably spent, and for a volunteer position. Maybe when the vote comes up for water rates, they will wake up and realize Donovan had only a couple of votes, but the town residents have 1,500 votes. Councilmen Stewart Cumbo and Bob Carpenter came in fifth and sixth in the voting. If they arenít careful, they wonít win in four years. I voted for Wahl, Cumbo and Carpenter last election, but never again, because I hate dirty elections. Where did the negative campaign money come from?
