The 14th annual Takoma Park Alternative Gift Fair will be Dec. 1 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Takoma Park Presbyterian Church at 310 Tulip Ave.
Bring the whole family for the fun festivity, which allows residents to purchase alternative gifts that honor family and friends while helping those in need. All proceeds will go to the participating local, national and international charities. Sample gifts include a nutritious school meal for indigenous children in Guatemala, a four-day college visit for one girl or a preventative well-woman exam.
A special supervised Kids Corner will be provided with staff to entertain your children while you shop, receive a free massage or listen to live music performed by local performers. There will also be a raffle and a bake sale.
Payment by cash, check and credit cards will be accepted. All gifts are tax-deductible.
