Submitted photo Members of Girl Scout Brownie Troop 4280 from Mechanicsville, including Madelyn Minichino, Sydney Verhaagh, Sierra Francingues, Madison Underwood, Brooke Higgs, Ava Gunther and Kendall Jameson, hold a food drive Nov. 4 to support the Southern Maryland Food Bank. The girls chose the drive as their Take Action Project to complete their Quest Journey. They collected 207 pounds of food and $73, which will be used to purchase an additional 584 pounds of food. This will be enough to feed 40 families. The troop thanks its friends and families who made donations, Food Lion in Charlotte Hall and Brenda DiCarlo from the Southern Maryland Food Bank.
