I was watching the movie “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” recently. Jimmy Stewart portrayed a United States senator. He was in awe of the Capitol, Mount Vernon, the Lincoln Memorial and United States history. The main theme of the movie was freedom for all people. Where did freedom start? It started with the Constitution and Bill of Rights. I recommend that people read them regularly, especially politicians. The thought came to my mind about the elections — it is a privilege to be able to vote. You should seek out issues, talk to representatives and ask them to be more bipartisan. Remember our Founding Fathers; they were wise men.
I was also watching the television program “7th Heaven” the other day. The episode I watched was about a soldier who had died. At his memorial service, the mourners were asked to do a kindness for someone in honor and in memory of fallen soldiers, of veterans and service men and women.
