Nancy Lee Pilkerton, 69, Mechanicsville
Nancy Lee Pilkerton, 69, of Mechanicsville died Nov. 27, 2012, at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, Leonardtown.
Born May 20, 1943, in Laurel, she was the daughter of Agnes Rosalie Quade Pilkerton of Mechanicsville and the late William Joseph Pilkerton.
She was a 1962 graduate of Margaret Brent High School. She was a certified nursing assistant and worked at Bayshore and the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. She was also a sales clerk for Walmart, retiring in 2008. She enjoyed playing cards, taking care of her pets, spending time with her family and scratching Bingo scratch-offs.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Morris Pilkerton.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Lisa M. Wood and her husband, Glen of Mechanicsville; grandchildren, Amanda, Joseph, Sarah and Shyanne Wood; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Brooklyn, Austin, Jayden and Jaxson Wood; siblings, Frances “Molly” Greenwell of Mechanicsville, Maxine Wilkerson and her husband, Charlie of Bryantown, Darlene Lewis and her husband, Mel of La Plata, Lorretta Olmstead and her husband, Jerry of Hughesville, Laura M. Flanary and her husband, Bobby of Palm Bay, Fla., Wayne Pilkerton and his wife, Susie of Hughesville and Dale “Joe Joe” Pilkerton of Mechanicsville.
A life celebration memorial service will be held from 1-4 p.m. with prayer service at 3 p.m. Dec. 2 at Brinsfield Funeral Home, Leonardtown. The Rev. Keith Woods will officiate. Burial will be private.
