Ronald C. Ellis, 71, Morningside

Ronald C. “Sleepy” Ellis, 71, of Morningside died of natural causes Nov. 26, 2012, at Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Clinton.

Born Jan. 13, 1941, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Dorothy Reher Ellis.

Mr. Ellis was an iron worker with Iron Workers Local 5.

He was a member of Morningside Volunteer Fire Company 27, Moose Lodge of Upper Marlboro and Phantom’s Motorcycle Club.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Beardmore Ellis; daughters, Cindy Collins and her husband, Danny, Dina Wells and her husband, Russell and Beth Printz and her husband, Jason; sister, Nancy MacWelch; grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Jessica, D.J., Kristen, Kayla, Lindsay, Garrett and Gabby; and great-grandchildren, Landon and Chloe.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. Nov. 30. at Lee Funeral Home, Clinton.
