Please take 10 minutes out of your busy life to stop in and see if you could help to save a life.

Join us this Saturday, Dec. 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department, in the social hall, as we search for a bone marrow match for little Adam Lumpkins, who is only 5 years old and suffering from leukemia.

This little guy has battled cancer most of his life. Adamís uncle is the assistant chief of Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department and his grandmother belongs to Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad.

The test is painless. It is a simple swab between the cheek and gum. This is Adamís last hope. If a match is not found, this could be Adamís last Christmas. Remember the gift of life is like no other. So if not for Adam then for someone else. For more information log onto the website or e-mail
