Fliers with anti-Semitic messages have been found on several streets in Takoma Park, according to Catherine Plevy, the city police departmentís public information officer.

The department received a call around 3:21 p.m. on Sunday from a resident reporting that fliers had been found and collected from driveways in the 7400 block of Flower Avenue, according to Plevy.

Officers canvassed the area and did not find any more flyers, a news release from Plevy said.

Plevy said a few other area residents contacted her directly or wrote on a listerv saying that fliers had also been found in the 7000 and 7300 blocks of Flower Avenue, the 7300 and 7600 blocks of Takoma Avenue, the 7100 block of Willow Avenue, the 7400 block of Maple Avenue and an unspecified area on Central Avenue.
