More than 150 duathletes participated in the third annual Kids Adventure BOOathlon held in Mount Airy in October.
The youth duathlon race — which was held at Knill’s Farm Market — includes a three-quarter-mile run, a 2-mile bike ride and a half-mile run. The race also called for participants to climb over stacked straw bales, navigate over large tractor tires, guess the correct number of candies in a jar and go through a corn maze, where the correct answers to trivia questions took athletes down the right path.
All participants received a finisher award and a Kids Adventure BOOathlon premium item.
The BOOathlon is sponsored by the Mini Cow Tri Club, a youth-focused triathlon club in the state.
