Neil Drew Wilkin Sr., 75, of Brinklow, died Nov. 27, 2012.
Born July 18, 1937, in Onsted, Mich., to the late Francis Wilkin and Dorothy Drew Wilkin Price, he is survived by Nancy Wilkin, his wife of 52 years. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Wilkin.
After graduating from Onsted High School, he earned a bachelorís degree in physics with a minor in math from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich. He worked for 40 years in the federal government as an electrical engineer and taught at Montgomery College in Germantown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Neil Wilkin and wife, Teena, of Roanoke, Va., Noel Wilkin and wife, Suzanne, of Oxford, Miss., Nicholas Wilkin and Karen Ament of Lindingo, Sweden, Nanette George and husband, David, of Raleigh, N.C., and Natalie Wilkin of Newport, Tenn.; his siblings, Wallace Wilkin of Tipton, Mich., and Mary Cook of Charlotte, Mich.; and 14 grandchildren.
The funeral service took place at 11 a.m. Dec. 1 at Ashton United Methodist Church in Ashton. Burial followed at Union Cemetery in Burtonsville. Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home in Silver Spring handled the arrangements.
