Charles Russell, 76, of Silver Spring, died Nov. 28, 2012, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital of a heart attack.

He was born Dec. 29, 2012, in Washington, D.C., to the late Rosalee Russell.

He attended Howard University and served in the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his children, Nicole Drummond and Darnell Drummond of Gaithersburg.

Donald V. Borgwart Funeral Home in Beltsville handled the arrangements. Burial will take place in Cheltenham National Veterans Cemetery.
