Dorothy Ann Cullison, 75, of Fairfax, Va., and Bushwood died Nov. 17, 2012, at Avalon Assisted Living in Falls Church, Va., with family at her side after a long and challenging battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born Oct. 11, 1936, in Bushwood. She was happily married to Joseph Cullison for more than 55 years. She was an avid decorator, hostess, florist and doting grandmother. She will most be remembered for her warm hugs, laughter, kindness and friendship to all.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her only child, Pamela Kalnitzky; son-in-law, Phil Kalnitzky; granddaughters, Victoria, Amanda and Mackenzie Kalnitzky; sisters, Susan Muth, Donna Farrell and Jeannie Bean; and brothers, Joseph Jr. Farrell and Thomas Anthony Farrell. She was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Farrell; and brothers, Everett and Bobby Farrell.

The family received friends Nov. 20 at Brinsfield Funeral Home in Leonardtown. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Nov. 21 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bushwood. A reception of fellowship and memories followed. Interment was held at the church cemetery.
