Silver Spring Town Center, Inc. will host its last Jefferson Cafe of 2012 at noon Dec. 11, focusing on historian Frederick Jackson Turner’s 1893 essay “The Significance of the Frontier in American History” and theorist John Tirman’s 2008 work “The Future of the American Frontier.”

The Jefferson Cafe is a grassroots discussion circle that focuses on American life and the role of the United States in the global community. The discussion format is Socratic and is free to everyone. The cafe will be held at the Silver Spring Civic Building at 1 Veterans Plaza in downtown Silver Spring.
