‘Tis the season for holiday music and performances at BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown.

“A Charlie Brown Christmas” will be performed Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. Tickets run $14. The television classic will play on the big screen. Afterward, the Eric Byrd Trio will perform live renditions of Vince Guaraldi's jazz score.

On Dec. 15, there will be a performance of “It's a Wonderful Life: Live from WVL Radio Theatre,” at 8 p.m. Tickets run from $29 to $32. Step back in time as the holiday classic will be performed as a 1940s radio broadcast before a live studio audience. Five actors perform a variety of characters.

On Dec. 16, The National Philharmonic Singers and Rebecca Smith (a harpist) will perform Christmas carols at 3 p.m. Tickets are $23 to $25. The concert includes musical works by Britten, Vaughan Williams, Rheinberger, Caldwell and other traditional songs. If you’re in the mood, you can sing along to "Hark! the Herald Angels Sing," "O Come All Ye Faithful," "White Christmas" and "The Twelve Days of Christmas.”
