Andrew Bahls of Gaithersburg and Stephen Archer and Ru Xu of Montgomery Village have been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia. The students were added to the dean’s list for earning a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

At Butler University in Indianapolis, Gaithersburg resident Justin Metcalf-Burton will perform as one of the dancers in the school’s 30th annual performance of “The Nutcracker.” The performance will be at Butler University from Nov. 29 through Dec. 2. Metcalf-Burton will dance as the Nutcracker.

Gaithersburg resident Lindsey Perreault was awarded a fellowship at Boston University in Massachusetts. B’nai B’rith Youth Organization awarded Perreault a Community Engagement Fellowship to strengthen her campus’ Jewish community.

David Hieronymus of Gaithersburg took part in an Alternative Thanksgiving Break program with James Madison University (Harrisonburg, Va.) He worked with students in the New England Center for Homeless Veterans in Boston to help kitchen workers and socialize with veterans.
