Monty’s Plant Food Company is accepting applications from Maryland students for four $1,000 college scholarships.

The company, based in Louisville, Ky., is awarding the scholarships in conjunction with the National Future Farmers of America Organization.

Eligible students must live in Maryland on a family farm and plan to pursue post-secondary education in agronomy, crop science, sustainable agriculture, soil science or soil conservation. Applicants also must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.25 and have participated in community service.
