A national child safety event, hosted by security firm Lifeprint, is coming to Gaithersburg.

On Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. free FBI-certified biometric palm prints, finger prints, digital photographs and a child safety journal will be available at King Volkswagen, 979 North Frederick Ave. Admission is free.
