The Tantallon Community Players will stage “A Christmas Carol” at 8 p.m. Dec. 7 and 8 and 3 p.m. Dec. 9 at Harmony Hall Regional Center at 10701 Livingston Road in Fort Washington.

The eternal holiday classic returns in an original adaptation by director Lauren Bloom, who asks: “Why do the Spirits of Christmas choose to lavish such exceptional attention on the cold and miserly Ebenezer Scrooge?” The production seeks to answer that question by looking to the ghost of Jacob Marley, Scrooge's deceased business partner, as the mastermind behind the journey through past, present and future that ultimately redeems not only Scrooge’s soul, but Marley’s as well.
