Candlelight tours of Haberdeventure, the historic home of Declaration of Independence signer Thomas Stone, will be 4:30 to 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at Thomas Stone National Historic Site at 6655 Rose Hill Road in Port Tobacco.

Park staff and volunteers dressed in period clothing will lead free tours through the house. The house will be decorated in traditional Colonial style with wreaths and greenery, and lanterns will light the landscape on the walk to the house. Light refreshments will be provided at the visitor center by the Charles County Historic Trust, along with a generous helping of Southern hospitality.
