Montgomery County Police have identified the victim of a fatal Friday afternoon shooting in White Oak.
Jesse Patrick Campos, 21, lived in the 11400 block of July Drive. Officers from the Silver Spring district were dispatched to a shooting at his home at 3:45 p.m. Friday and found Campos dead at the scene, said Capt. Paul Starks, a Montgomery County police spokesman. Police were initially called by a woman who called to report her boyfriend had been shot. Police confirmed Saturday that the incident was a shooting.
According to a Montgomery County Police press release, two suspects entered the apartment by accosting a roommate outside and forcing him to open the door. One of the suspects shot Campos, and both fled. The male roommate and a woman who was also in the apartment were not injured.
