Tools were stolen Monday at 2:30 a.m. from the bed of a pickup truck parked in the 6200 block of Bighorn Court in Waldorf, the Charles County Sheriff's Office reported.

The truck owner heard noises outside his house and, upon investigating, spotted a man inside the vehicle. The owner went outside, but the man drove away, possibly in a dark minivan with at least two other people inside.
