Someone broke out a window of a home in the 1100 block of Cambridge Road in Waldorf at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, the Charles County Sheriff's Office reported.

An alarm activated when the glass broke, and the suspect fled. The homeowner saw someone running away from the side of her house and called police.

Officers canvassed the area.

Officer N. Garner is investigating.
