Marijuana found in vehicle
On Route 260 near Boyds Turn Road, Tfc. Wiesmann stopped a vehicle at 2:17 a.m. Dec. 2 for traffic violations. Jeffrey P. Cannon, 24, of Huntingtown was arrested for driving under the influence and during a search of the vehicle marijuana allegedly was found. Cannon was jailed at the Calvert County Detention Center.

Theft reported
At 3:06 p.m. Nov. 26, Tfc. Logsdon responded to the 2500 block of Cecil Lane for a reported theft. Several pieces of jewelry were reported missing from the home. The investigation is ongoing.
Prince Frederick
Woman arrested for stolen registration plates
Tfc. Esnes stopped a vehicle at Steeple Chase Drive at Armory Road at 1:21 p.m. Nov. 26. The vehicle’s registration plates were listed in the computer as expired but the expiration date displayed on the plates were July 2014. Investigation revealed the registration sticker was stolen and Melissa M. Benton, 36, of Lusby was arrested and jailed at the Calvert County Detention Center.
