Comcast Corp. announced that William “Billy” Becker has been appointed as director of enterprise sales for the company’s Beltway region, which serves Maryland, Southern Delaware, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and portions of West Virginia and North Carolina.
Becker will be responsible for managing and monitoring sales to multisite regional businesses, state and local municipalities and strategic and national enterprise accounts, according to a Comcast news release.
He also will be working to identify and improve business processes to yield increased sales performance and higher operational efficiencies.
“We are continuing to experience record growth both from an Ethernet and SMB perspective, and we firmly believe that much of this success is due to the strong leadership team that we have put in place throughout our organization,” John Whalen, regional vice president for Comcast Business Services, said in the release. “Billy has the perfect mix of experience and enthusiasm, and we are looking forward to having him on board as we focus on our 2013 business initiatives.”
With more than a decade of experience in the telecommunications field, Becker is an award-winning leader who has been recognized nationwide for his sales education, program development and management capabilities, the release stated.
A graduate of the University of Richmond in Virginia, Becker has received numerous certifications and completed courses from organizations that include Franklin Covey, Cisco, Wilson Learning, Hill Associates and Axiom.
