Doris Marie Perrie, 79, of Hollywood died Dec. 5, 2012, at her residence in Hollywood.
Born Feb. 28, 1933, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of Carlin Eugene Coppage and Frances Stanley Coppage Harmon.
She worked at the U.S. Census Bureau and the Bureau of Printing and Engraving. She also worked for MGM (Metro Goldwyn Mayer). She retired from the government and went to work in payroll with Besche Oil Company in Waldorf.
She enjoyed dancing and camping with a group called the Road Runners. She also enjoyed playing cards (a card shark) and taking the grandchildren camping, bowling and shopping.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Howard L. Perrie; and sister, Peggy Hamilton. She is survived by sons, Howard Perrie (Donna) and Steve Perrie (Michelle); brother, Carlin Coppage Jr.; sister, Mary Ryan; grandchildren, Robert Lafferty, Michael Perrie Jr., and Stefany Metcalf; great-grandchild, Cameron Lafferty; and stepfather, Harold W. Harmon.
The family received friends and a funeral service was held Dec. 10 at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home in Charlotte Hall. The Rev. James Chance officiated. Interment followed at Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood.
