Charlottie Annette Van Brunt, 63, of Lexington Park died Dec. 7, 2012, at her home.
Born April 9, 1949, in Dover, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Charles Woods and Mary Jelly Woods.
On July 8, 1967, she married her husband of 45 years, Vernon Francis Van Brunt. She was employed at the Newark Star Ledger for 18 years as a zone supervisor before her retirement. In February 2007, she moved to St. Mary’s County from Hopatcong, N.J. She was an active member of Patuxent Presbyterian Church. She also enjoyed needlepoint, knitting and many other arts and crafts.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Charlene Marie Chesbro (Christopher) of Great Mills and Theodore Francis Van Brunt (Glori) of Lexington Park; and her grandchildren, Crysta Chesbro, Collin Chesbro, Sean Van Brunt, Danielle Van Brunt and Erik Van Brunt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Woods; and her sister, Barbara White.
A life celebration memorial service will be held Friday, Dec. 14, at 4 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home in Leonardtown. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Mike Jones, pastor at Patuxent Presbyterian Church. Interment will be private.
