Seniors at an adult day care center in Upper Marlboro will receive warm blankets, hats, gloves and other “comfort” items during a Dec. 20 holiday party.

Camp Springs-based youth empowerment and development organization, The Changes Foundation, will host the “Comfort of Love” event from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Gilmore Adult Day Care Center at Mount Ephraim Baptist Church in Upper Marlboro.

“Instead of a toy drive for children, we wanted to give to the senior citizens and give them a small holiday party amongst themselves,” said Changes Foundation executive director Brenda Glenn. “We want to provide them with things that make them comfortable.”
