The Port Tobacco Players will hold a fundraiser for United Way of Charles County with their production of “Brighton Beach Memoirs,” written by Neil Simon.

The Port Tobacco Players will donate $1 of each ticket sold to United Way of Charles County.

The comedy, which is part of Simon’s autobiographical trilogy, provides a portrait of the writer as a young teen in 1937, living with his family in a crowded, lower middle-class Brooklyn walk-up apartment.

The production is produced by Liz Mildenstein and directed by Mel Gilpin Ball and assistant director Joselle Gilpin.

The production runs from Jan. 25 through Feb. 10.

Tickets are available now: adults, $17; seniors 60 and older, youth through high school and military with ID, $14. Performances will be at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays.

Call the Port Tobacco Players box office at 301-932-6819 or purchase online at www.ptplayers.org.
