Four people were arrested Friday evening in Frederick after a brief car chase, while another man carrying a loaded gun was caught after a foot chase earlier Friday, police said.

Officers tried to stop a vehicle for the driver having a revoked license around 6 p.m. Friday in a parking lot off DeGrange Street. But driver Darrious Dotson, 20, of the 100 block of Royal Bonnet Place in Frederick, sped off, police said.

Officers pursued the Dodge Magnum and stopped the car after a short chase on Phebus Avenue. Dotson was arrested and charged with reckless driving, driving with a revoked license, fleeing the police, possession of a synthetic form of marijuana and other charges.

“There were three other occupants in the car, and they were all arrested on drug charges,” said Lt. Clark Pennington, commander of the Frederick Police Department's criminal investigation division and a spokesman.

Those arrested on drug charges were Roy Lipscomb, 32, of the 900 block of Clovis Avenue in Capitol Heights; Christina M. Foote, 30, of the 2100 block of Brooks Drive in Forrestville; and Tyler C. Anthony, 20, of the 400 block of Megan Court in Frederick.

In a separate incident, police arrested Dearil Green, 36, of the 900 block of Heather Ridge Drive in Frederick, about 3:30 p.m. Friday for carrying a concealed deadly weapon after a foot chase.

Officers stopped a vehicle on West All Saints Street in Frederick for a traffic incident, and Green was a passenger who fled on foot when the car stopped, police said. Officers caught Green on South Market Street and found him carrying a loaded .357 magnum revolver.

Green also had an arrest warrant from the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office for failure to pay child support.
