Two Mattawoman Middle School students were charged with marijuana possession Dec. 12 after a school resource officer received a tip from the student Crime Solvers program, the Charles County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Officer M. DePaulo got a tip at 1 p.m. that the two 12-year-old boys possibly had marijuana on them at school.

DePaulo found marijuana in the students’ lockers. The boys were charged as juveniles and released to their parents.
