Officers responded to the 6100 block of Bivens Place in La Plata at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday after a man reported finding a power washer that had been stolen from his house during a burglary, the Charles County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Officers R. Snyder and J. Campbell searched the area and discovered a blue scooter in the woods. They checked the scooter’s serial number and discovered it also had been reported stolen.

The officers returned the scooter to its owners.

The investigation is ongoing.
