Maryland Oncology Hematology announced that Oncology-Hematology Associates will join its practice, adding treatment locations in Clinton and Lanham.

The eight board-certified OHAPA physicians will join MOH’s group of 15 oncologists to offer cancer care to oncology and hematology patients, according to a news release.

“Our practice has been a pioneer in developing community-based oncology services dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care to patients,” Dr. Harvey Katzen M.D., president of Oncology-Hematology Associates, said in the release. “In uniting with Maryland Oncology Hematology, we will be joining a group of highly skilled, dedicated physicians who share our vision and mission of improving outcomes for patients by providing outstanding care in a patient-friendly environment.”

Oncology-Hematology Associates was founded by Dr. David Haidak in 1976.

“We are pleased to welcome the physicians of Oncology-Hematology Associates to our practice,” Dr. Jon Minford, founder of Maryland Oncology Hematology, said in the release. “Our collaboration with this team of like-minded, highly trained cancer specialists will allow us to expand and enhance our treatment model of providing high quality integrated, evidence-based cancer care and clinical research. Additionally, our patients will now have access to care in two more convenient locations in Maryland.”

Since its founding in 1986, Maryland Oncology Hematology has evolved into a world-class treatment center offering a fully integrated approach to cancer treatment throughout the communities of Maryland and the surrounding D.C. area, the release states.

Physicians, nurses and staff all collaborate to develop a unique, individualized treatment plan for each patient that utilizes cutting-edge technologies, advanced drug therapies and comprehensive supportive care to ensure each patient receives the highest quality of care for his particular diagnosis.
