This is a response to the letter, “A more Christian nation?” [Maryland Independent, Dec. 7].
Is the writer implying that because women can do what they want with their bodies, society is so forward-thinking now and so civilized compared to the previous times in history that are mentioned?
More than 50 million children have been killed over the last 40 years, being snatched from their mother’s wombs, dismembered and discarded. It is barbaric and evil for anyone to applaud “choice” in this context, when those children had no choice. I would venture to say that this holocaust, being perpetrated every day right now on God’s creatures, is the ultimate sin.
What a nation chooses to do with helpless, innocent human beings screams loudly regarding the condition of its soul. When destroying, rather than protecting, those who can’t protect themselves, it indicates moral emptiness.
God will most certainly judge not only the mass murder of children but also the celebration of it.
