The Hurricanes lost the contest, ?-?.
Hi, it’s me again, Amanda.
We played our first home game last Wednesday against Chopticon. The score of the game was 48-29. We came back from an eight-point deficit to tie the game but during the fourth quarter, we allowed them to keep scoring and increase the lead.
Although we played hard, our defense could not stop Chopticon’s scoring in the end.
Friday night, we traveled to Great Mills. In this game, we couldn’t finish our fast breaks. In comparison to the Chopticon game, we stuck with them on the scoreboard but in the end, they were victorious.
We have to focus more on taking advantage and finish opportunities that are given.
For the fourth time in five games, we will be playing away from our school. We travel to Northern on Wednesday and fortunately, we have a home game against Patuxent on Friday.
We have been practicing six days a week sometimes beginning at 6 a.m on Saturdays as well as the possibility of having two-a-days.
This week during practice, we will still be working hard on our defense to fix the troubled areas. Throughout our practices, the guards and post players have been split up to work individually to help improve our moves to the basket and increase our scoring chances in the game.
We’ve been working on the fundamentals of basketball and working our way up the ladder. We’re a young team with a desire to win.
Thanks to all our fans that have been supporting our teams. We hope you continue to support us. I wish everyone a happy holiday.
