Strong-Arm Robbery

Ÿ On Dec. 4 at 3 p.m. at the Shady Grove Metro, 15902 Somerville Drive, Derwood. The suspect is known to the victim.

Vehicle Larceny

Ÿ CRV at Hersons Kia, 15531 Frederick Avenue, Rockville, between Dec. 7 and 10. Took vehicle parts.

Ÿ Two incidents in the 5900 block of Vandegrift Avenue, Rockville, between 7 p.m. Dec. 8 and 8:30 a.m. Dec. 9. Searched two unlocked vehicles, took a necklace from one and a backpack from the other.

Ÿ 800 block of New Mark Esplanade, Rockville, between 9 p.m. Dec. 9 and 6 a.m. Dec. 10. Unknown means of entry, searched vehicle but took nothing.

Ÿ Montessori Lone Oak School, 10201 Democracy Boulevard, Potomac, between 10 and 11 a.m. Dec. 11. Took a purse.

Larceny

Ÿ 400 block of N. Horners Lane between noon Dec. 1 and noon Dec. 11. Unknown subject removed a delivery package containing a laptop from a residence.

Ÿ 300 block of Carl Street between 1 and 3 p.m. Dec. 9. The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed cash and two credit/debit cards from his wallet, which he had inadvertently left behind at a restaurant.

Ÿ 16000 block of Shady Grove Road between 3:30 and 4:29 a.m. Dec. 11. Unknown subject removed a credit card machine from the front desk at a hotel.

Ÿ 1700 block of Rockville Pike between 5:02 p.m. Dec. 13 and 8:58 a.m. Dec. 14. Unknown subject gained access by prying a front door of an office suite. Once inside the unknown subject removed a guitar and cash.

Ÿ 1400 block of Research Boulevard between 9:30 a.m. and 2:36 p.m. Dec. 14. Unknown subject removed a wallet from an unsecured purse.

Ÿ 81400 block of Rockville Pike between1 and 8:35 p.m. Dec. 14. Unknown subject removed a wallet from an unlocked employee locker at a business.

Ÿ 1600 block of Rockville Pike between 8 and 8:15 p.m. Dec. 14. The complainant reported that an unknown subject entered the business and made his way to the back of the store where the employees keep their personal belongings. The complainant approached the subject, who stated he was looking for the restroom; the subject then left the store. The complainant later went into the back of the store and discovered her wallet was missing from her coat.

Residential Burglary

Ÿ 1700 block of Auburn Avenue between 3 p.m. Nov. 20 and 1:30 p.m. Dec. 2. Unknown subject gained access by unknown means through a rear sliding glass door. Once inside the unknown subject removed three guns and a sword.

Ÿ 100 block of King Farm Boulevard between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Dec. 12. Unknown subject gained access by cutting a screen an opening an unlocked window at an apartment. Once inside the unknown subject removed an iPad.

Ÿ 100 block of Evans Street between 4 p.m. Dec. 15 and 11 a.m. Dec. 16. Unknown subject attempted to gain access by lifting two rear window screens and then tried to open the windows at a residence; no entry was made.

Vehicle Larceny

Ÿ 5900 block of Vandegrift Avenue between 7 p.m. Dec. 8 and 8:30 a.m. Dec. 9. Unknown subject removed a necklace from an unlocked vehicle.

Ÿ On Dec. 8 between 3 and 5:30 p.m. on the office building at 4709 Chase Avenue, Bethesda.

Residential Burglary

Ÿ 6300 block of Berkshire Drive, Bethesda, between Dec. 7 and 8. Unforced entry into garage, took property.

Ÿ 7200 block of Chestnut Street, Chevy Chase, between 5 and 5:25 p.m. Dec. 12. Forced entry, took property.

Vehicle Larceny

Ÿ Three incidents in Chevy Chase. Unlocked vehicle on Woodbine Street and entry through broken windows in two vehicles in the Rosemary Hills area. Took wallets, GPS units and cash.

Ÿ Three incidents in Bethesda. Forced entry in the 6400 block of Goldsboro Road, took tools. Forced entry in the 4600 block of Western Avenue, took an iPod and a GPS unit. Broke into trunk in the 4400 block of Willard Avenue, took an iPod.

Ÿ Two incidents overnight between Dec. 3 and 4 in Bethesda. Forced entry, took a GPS unit and vehicle parts.

Ÿ 10400 block of Rockville Pike, North Bethesda, overnight between Dec. 4 and 5. Forced entry, took vehicle parts.

Ÿ Montgomery Mall, 7101 Democracy Boulevard, Bethesda, between 1:45 and 3:30 a.m. Dec. 7. Unsecured vehicle, took bags of cosmetics and clothing.

Ÿ Montgomery Mall, 7101 Democracy Boulevard, Bethesda, at 11:45 a.m. Dec. 8. Forced entry, took an iPad and charger.

3rd District

Aggravated Assault

Ÿ On Dec. 6 at 4 p.m. in the 3700 block of Berleigh Hill Court, Burtonsville. The suspect is known to the victim.

Ÿ On Dec. 7 at 10 p.m. in the 15500 block of Old Columbia Pike, Burtonsville. No further information was provided.

Armed Robbery

Ÿ On Dec. 5 at 5:40 p.m. on Weller Road near Georgia Avenue, Wheaton. The suspect assaulted the victim with a weapon and attempted to obtain property.

Ÿ 7100 block of Carroll Avenue at 6:36 a.m. Dec. 16. A man, 39, was arrested for having an open traffic warrant.

Ÿ 700 block of Hudson Avenue at 3:52 p.m. Dec. 17. A woman, 17, was arrested and released to a guardian for being a chronic runaway.

Ÿ 7400 block of Jackson Avenue at 4:50 p.m. Dec. 18. A man, 46, was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

Ÿ 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue at 5:10 a.m. Dec. 20. A man, 38, was arrested for having an open failure to appear in court warrant and a woman, 18, was arrested for conspiracy to commit robbery.

Assault

Ÿ On Dec. 17 at 10:33 a.m. in the 7100 block of Carroll Avenue. A man assaulted a woman in an argument that turned physical.

Ÿ On Dec. 19 at 7:55 p.m. in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue. Unknown suspect(s) stole a Silver 2005 Lexus RX330 by unknown means from a parking lot.

Residential Burglary

Ÿ 7000 block of Aspen Avenue at 7:55 a.m. Dec. 18. Unknown suspect(s) attempted to gain entry by breaking a window but were unsuccessful. A package was then stolen from the victim’s porch.

Robbery

Ÿ On Dec. 14 at 12:59 p.m. in the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue. Two men entered the gas station parking lot in a vehicle. Suspect one exited the vehicle and approached a victim sitting in a delivery truck. The suspect implied a weapon and demanded money to which the victim complied. Both suspects then fled in their vehicle southbound on New Hampshire Avenue.

Vehicle Larceny

Ÿ 7100 block of Cedar Avenue at 3:19 a.m. Dec. 14. Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole a handicap placard.

Ÿ Intersection of Pine Avenue and Elm Avenue at 3:55 a.m. Dec. 18. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry into four vehicles by breaking windows, however no property was reported stolen.

Ÿ 7200 block of Carroll Avenue at 9:25 a.m. Dec. 18. Unknown suspect(s) used a rock to break a car window and stole property.
